Ian Jones
As one of the two founding partners of Boothman Jones LLP, Ian wanted to establish a firm where what is promised and provided is cost-effective but formidable expertise in the Courtroom, along with a common-sense approach to resolving disputes.
With well over a decade of experience appearing at all levels of the Jersey Court system, Ian is well-known as one of Jersey’s leading courtroom advocates. Reputed for being robust, incisive and effective Ian prides himself on being a creative and reliable advocate, well able to obtain the results and outcomes his clients require.
In recognition of his abilities and achievements Ian was appointed in 2017 as a Deputy Chair of the Jersey Employment and Discrimination Tribunal and has presided over some of Jersey’s leading cases in this field. Ian has also been appointed by the Law Society of Jersey as a case delegate and is regularly instructed to present cases on behalf of the Law Society before the disciplinary committee and the Royal Court.
Ian and Mark first met when they worked together at Carey Olsen from 2015, later becoming partners together at a litigation focused firm. They established Boothman Jones together with a joint desire to focus on delivering top-rate advocacy whilst achieving the best outcomes possible for their clients.
